All: Please avoid wearing scented products of any kind - some singers have allergies.
Our usual concert wear is all black for all genders, a bit fancier than casual.
Men: the usual long-sleeved black dress shirt and pants, jacket is not required but wear one if you like and it's black. No tie.
Acceptable outfits include any of the following:
Tops with at least 3/4 length sleeve or a collared long-sleeved dress shirt.
Skirt or dress that is mid-calf or longer; dress pants or trousers.
A long black tunic over black leggings.
Black shoes and black stockings/socks/tights. (If you need stockings, we have some that have been donated.)
Not acceptable choices are:
Tank tops, spaghetti straps, low-cut blouses, bare legs or feet (unless it's really hot at a summer concert and we've made a decision to relax some rules), turtlenecks, casual T-shirts, athletic wear...
Jewellery is optional and a sparkly diamond look is fine; please avoid anything large and dangly or rattly enough to distract the audience, other singers or the conductor.
Folders: Black choralex folders – see Debbie in the altos to buy or borrow.
Masks: Currently, masks are optional, but of course this can change in response to infection rates and/or new public health orders. See Sherry Lepage for disposable (though they can be used quite a few times) singing masks. Unfortunately the manufacturer is only making white ones now.
If you prefer your own mask, that is fine.
